Optimal browser choice

Any web development project runs into problems with the choice of browsers, since practically none of the common browsers are fully standards compliant. We suggest using the following (with initial browser recommended):

Windows: IE6, Firefox 2

Macintosh: Camino, Firefox 2,

Linux: Opera 9.27, Konqueror 3.5.5

Reported problems

Users have reported problems such as non-functioning applets or browser problems while working with Firefox browser on SUSE 10.2 or with Firefox 3 and Safari 3 on MacOS 10.5. It appears some of these problems resulted from the local firewall settings. We are currently working to resolve these issues. In the meantime we suggest turning to one of the other supported browsers or systems.
